Georgetown Best of the Best Tournament Champions
Congratulations on winning the Georgetown Best of the Best tournament. We started slowly on Friday with a 2-2 tie against the Burlington Bulldogs but rebounded with an 8-0 win over the Guelph Jr. Storm on Friday night.  The Bandits won the MacNair showdown on Saturday afternoon by beating Georgetown Raiders 6-1.  That set up two games against the Burlington Eagles on Sunday.  The Bandits dropped their final round robin game to Burlington 4-0 in a game that saw the boys have every break go the other way.  In the finals on Sunday afternoon everyone was ready and came to play.  The Bandits were up 2-0 after two periods on goals by Alex MacLeod and Logan Mastrandrea and were playing great hockey. In the third, Burlington scored with 7:00 minutes left to make it interesting in the final few minutes. Game MVP Andrew Kozachuk stood his ground in net and made several game saving stops in the final few minutes to preserve the victory.  It was a great team effort and all players contributed equally to the win.  The parents and kids had a great weekend and the final game was icing on the cake.  Way to go Boys!!

Bandits to Play in AA League
The first half of the season concluded on Saturday with a 4-1 win over Burlington.  Based on the standings for the Seeded League, the Bandits finished 3rd and will now play in the AA portion of the league.  The top six teams, Bandits, West, North, Burlington, Waterloo and the London Junior Knights will now play an interlocking schedule for the remainder of the season.  The boys have had a great start to the season and now the hard work will really start in playing a much tougher schedule.  The coaching staff would like to congratulate the boys for meeting our goal of making the AA league.

Playoffs to Begin!
Congratulations to the boys for a very successful regular season that saw the Bandits finish 3rd in the AA Constellation League. After a tough four game series against Burlington that saw the Bandits lose 3-1, the boys defeated Waterloo three games to none.  With this win, the Bandits advance the AA Alliance Playoff final in a best four of seven series.  The opponent will be determined next week and the finals will likely commence next weekend.  In the clinching game at Nichols, the Bandits goals were scored by Tyler Riley, Davin Hurry, Joey Studnicka, Anthony Pileggi and Jamison McGann.  Andrew Kozachuk was strong in net and faced many Waterloo shots.
