Saturday morning RAINOUTS - Sport Field Status

The soccer fields that Saturday Soccer uses are located within Sherwood Park which is part of Strathcona County. 

 Before leaving for soccer , a good idea to ensure that the field we use is open for play:

    - necessary to scroll OPEN or CLOSED to check on the status of our field

Strathcona County updates the Field Condition Status (online):

2:30 p.m. (Monday - Friday)
9 a.m. (weekends and holidays)

Note:  Teams play before 10 a.m. on weekends and holidays should use their own discretion until the field status is updated.

Fields are closed due to unsafe playing surfaces and to prevent turf damage. Use your discretion during heavy or prolonged rain, discontinue use of fields to reduce damage to playing surfaces and player injury.

Saturday morning soccer - booked at SAP - May 07 thru Oct 22, 2022

If all fields in Sherwood Park are open, we play. 
If all fields in Sherwood Park are closed, we don't play.  

Our normal Saturday morning fields (SAP / Strathcona Athletic Park) are some of the premier fields in Sherwood Park.  On occasion, when we arrive at SAP we will be notified or we make the decision to play elsewhere - usually weather related. 

If  SAP is closed but other fields are open then our alternate choice is Heritage Hills.

The field at Heritage Hills is usually not lined.  The use of nets, pylons or cones are necessary.

If other groups (unlikely) are using the Heritage Hills field we would be out of luck since we would not have a contract for Heritage Hills.  In which case enjoy the rest of the day.
