3 HR: Kyle (3)
HR: Bobby (1)* VanBuren (1)

*Bobbys Homerun was a Grand Slam

In a cold, windy game to start the fieldball season, it was basically a game of rallies. In the 2nd, Bobby, Balle, Derek and Joebear knocked Kyle all over, Bobby hitting a Grandslam, and Balle, Derek and Joebear all getting multiple hits. But, when Bobby’s team takes Derek out of pitching it gets messy, Joebear comes in and walks 3 batters, then Bobby comes in for him, after 2 Kyle HRs, the score is 9-7, which would be the final in the 2008 Fieldball Opening Day game.

Michael started pitching, but gave up 8 runs in 3.1 innings. Brian came in for relief, shutting out Bobby and Co. In the bottom of the last, Joebear was up with runners on 2nd and 3rd with 2 outs. He doubled to center to win the game. 2 plays in this game are up for the plays of the year in the NOMINATION page on the website, Brians barehanded throw to get Bobby out the first play of teh game, and Dereks diving catch as pitcher.

Kyles team scored all 6 runs in the 4th inning with 2 outs, Bobby, VanBuren and Shuba would be going into the bottom of the last tied at 5-5, but an error kept the inning alive for Kyle's team and they scored 6 runs that inning. Kyle homered twice, and had an inside the park HR on errors. In the bottom of the last, Bobby and VanBuren homered back-to-back, but wasnt enough to come back, they lost 11-7

The wind was blowing in, so there was a bunch of cheep singles. It was tied going into the last winning, where Joebear batted 2 runners in on his double. Bobby Brian and Shuba come back and score 3 in the bottom inning. Bobby gets GW hit over Joebear's head after a contreversial GW hit by Shuba that was NOT called a gamewinnng hit, since VanBuren beleived the ball hit Shubas hand.

This game is up for game of the year, it was a thriller. The new home-made backstop in action. Kyle’s team was up early 6-2, then had a 5 run inning to put them up 11-2. But, Bobby, Brian, Joebear and Money brought the bats in the 4th, setting a season record for most runs scored in an inning (9). They tied it, and Brian was coming in to pitch. Brian had a 1-2-3 inning the bottom of the 4th, so we went to the top of the last. Bobby grounded out to score Brian from 3rd. Then Joebear up next got a hit to scored the surprisingly good hitter that game, Money. We went to the bottom of the last, and they was 2 outs. Shuba was up, and some how got a double up the middle to keep the inning alive. VanBuren was up next, and a single to the wall, which ended up almost being a disaster when he slipped rounding 1st. Shuba scored on that hit. The next batter was Kyle, who first pitch, keep his homerun streak alive, hitting a walk-off HR over the right field fence.

RecapA high scoring, crazy game. Not the greatest quality of fielders, which is the main reason we ended with 36 runs scored in 5 innings. It was 17-16 in the bottom of the 5th (extra inning), bases were loaded with 1 out. Brian was up and hit a walk-off grand slam, his 2nd of the day and 3rd HR since August of '06.

One of the most if not the most memorable game in fieldball history. Crazy weather for a 5v5 game. In the 1st inning, it was beutiful weather with Fridays blue sky. Bases are loaded with 2 outs and Bobbys up. On a full count, VanBuren beans him, scoring Brian. In the top of the 2nd, Kyle and co. battle back and tie it on a Kyle double to score Balle. In the top of the 4th, the rain came, very hard. It turned into hail, and it hailed hard. Kyle would hit a histarical triple that you can see on video, that gave them a 2-1 lead. The rain remained coming down hard, and we headed to the bottom of the last inning. Every base had a puddle in it, and the batters box was drenched. Mardi lead off the inning with a single on a VanBuren error. Then Bobby advanced him on a ground out. Brian came up next and tripled to tie the game 2-2. Money on the first pitch of the next at-bat hit a soft one right back at Kyle, who missed the tag on Brian who dove into homeplate and mud sprayed all over and all over him, but he did for the team and THE WIN.

On Fieldball Friday, the starting pitching matchup was Mardi vs. Balle, Mardi was taken out in the 1st inning and Balle in the 4th. After Derek's grandslam, and 5-0 lead in the first, Brian and co. couldnt catch up, and eventually lost 18-10.

It was 1-0 after the first 2, 18-4 by the end of the game. After a 3-run HR by Bobby to make it 3-1 in the 3rd, Derek, Balle each in the 5th inning added a HR, but on a bunch of errors (so they didn’t count as actually HRs). Derek’s inside the park HR on errors was a grandslam, and pretty much put the game out of reach at 15-4. Re is Reeder.
