History and Description

The Mobile Pride Youth Organization has been in existence for a number of years serving kids in the Mobile-Baldwin County and surrounding area’s and is a tax-exempt 501 © 3 non-profit organization. The organization has formerly known as the Mobile Baby Jags which started in 1981 which has helped get a number of kids in to college and a few of it’s members has went and played professional basketball. Many of the youths serve by the Mobile Pride Organization are economically disadvantage and living in single parent households.

The Mobile Pride organization is currently housed and practice at Vigor High School, Davidson High School, Shaw High School and Bishop State Community College Main Campus Gyms where all programs and activities are conducted.

Our mission is to build the individual character of each member, to blend team members into a harmonious and successful unit, and to optimize both personal and team potential. A particularly important part of our mission is to prepare each kid to use their talents to achieve scholarships so that they may attain a higher level of education.

The Mobile Pride Organization has helped bring much needed recognition to the kids in the area. As a result, we feel that major colleges and universities will increase the number of full scholarships offered to the kids.

Purpose and Objective

In a world that seems threatening and devoid of promise for many of America’s children, the Mobile Pride Organization provides a tangible measure of hope. The program offers young people’s what they need and want; adults who respect and listen to them; a safe environment where they can have fun and be themselves; and interesting, constructive activities that channel youthful energy into challenging pursuits.

The purpose is to seek funds for the implementation of an Athletic and Educational Program that is designed to provide kids with a positive experience by assisting them with their homework and providing tutorial programs for those in need. Also, the organization will provide participants with skills in various sports offered by the Mobile Pride Organization. This will be accomplished by providing practice sessions and scheduling of tournaments and games against the highest level of competition. This

Competition coupled with player’s sincere commitment to sports and a diligent work ethic will provide positive results.

The Objective of the program is to target and increase the grades of the participates by improving their academic skill levels especially in reading and math through volunteers and also by helping to change their behavior and attitude. The Organization will also teach good sportsmanship among all participants.

The Organization will target kids ages 9 – 17 years old that will operate from Monday – Friday hours 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays From 3:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Therefore we would like to ask you to please consider our organization for Sponsorship to assist with providing a quality Athletic and Educational Organization for the kids in Mobile Pride Organization.
