Expos Get First Taste of Game Action vs. Burnaby

Thursday night featured a scrimmage between the Burnaby Braves and Vancouver Minor Expos. With Burnaby rounding out their roster Tuesday night, it was the first game for both teams with a "complete" roster on paper. However, with spring break in full effect both teams were missing numerous and significant players in their lineup (Expos ran with 2 AA callups, Braves with an A callup).

Howse, Domingo, Ellis and Symons (AA) all had base-knocks while Ellis and Inomata both looked sharp on the mound in their first outing of 2016. Inomata and Domingo each threw out a baserunner on the basepaths. The play of the game went to Ramos (LF), Betonio (SS) and Domingo (C) as the three players teamed up to cutdown Grant (Burnaby) at the plate who was narrowly thrown out trying to stretch a triple to an inside the park home run.

It was a chilly evening but with sunny skies, both Kyle (Burnaby Head Coach) and Luke got a chance to see what their squad needs to improve on in preparation for opening day in a few weeks.
