Open Gym has been scheduled for boys in the 9th - 12th grade interested in playing basketball with the Warriors during the 2015-16 season.
The following gym times are available at Life Church, 428 S. Oak Street, Bluffton, IN. Each player is asked to help with the cost of the gym rental. Please bring $2.00 for each practice attended.
WACHE Basketball will be having an organizational meeting on
Thursday, September 10 at 6:00 pm in the gymnasium of the Life Church.
Life is located at 428 S. Oak Street in Bluffton. Forms can be downloaded by clicking on the sidebar "handouts" section to the left.
Please bring all forms with you filled out and signed by athlete and parents to this organizational meeting.
All fees and forms will need to be turned in that night and uniforms will be handed out to those who attend and turn in all paperwork.
We are asking for a down payment for players to be paid at the organizational meeting. That cost is as follows:
$100 - 1st player in family
$50/player - 2nd through any number of athletes in family
$50/player (first 8 weeks only)
2nd 8 weeks additional $20 (unless did not get t-shirt and sports insurance in first session, then it will be $50/player
Teams we have coaches for:
1st-4th grade boys and girls (practicing once a week in October & November and also again in January & February) Teaching skills and fundamentals. Cost will be $50 per athlete for first 8 weeks and then $20 for the 2nd 8 weeks (unless athlete did not attend the first session and needs a t-shirt and will need to pay the sports insurance)
5th & 6th grade boys - practicing 2 x's week (same days and times as 7&8th) starting in Oct
7th & 8th grade boys - practicing 2 x's week (same days and times as 5&6th) starting in Oct
V. Boys - practicing 2 X's week starting in October (Open gym going on now for V. Boys)
(We are willing to schedule games for girls if we have enough to make up a team and get a coach) If you are interested in playing or coaching, please let me know! We have 5 girls that have expressed interest in playing.
You will notice a Letter for Advertisers that we would like for you to begin collecting business cards for. Each family is asked to try and secure at least 3 business card sized ads in order to help keep the cost of our program down. Also, in addition to business sponsorships, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc. can run a business card sized sport ad to encourage team or seniors, or any individual. Free Admission passes will be given to those who sell 3 or more.
More information will be presented at the meeting. Please pass this information on to anyone else you think might be interested in playing basketball this season.
