Greysox Earn First League Victory

Vermillion notched its first State Line win 5-2 over the visiting Lennox Reds at Prentis Park. Jamie Jorgensen earned the victory for the Greys, throwing a complete game, giving up just three hits and two earned runs. Jorgensen walked only two batters on the evening while striking out 10.
Tanner Anderson and Jack Brown led the Greys at the plate. Anderson was 2-4 with a single and a double along with one RBI and 2 stolen bases. Brown was 1-4 with 2 RBI on a single in the 4th. Jamie Jorgensen helped his cause in the bottom of the first with solo smash over the left field fence on the first pitch of the at bat.
The Greysox (3-2-2 overall and 1-0 in State Line) will host the Beresford Blues (0-1 in State Line) on Wednesday, June 1 at Prentis Park in Vermillion.
