Sox Host Mad Frogs on May 4

After cancelling all games April 30 and May 1 due to weather, the Greysox hope to get into action this Wednesday, May 4 at home where they are slated to take on the Menno Mad Frogs at 7:30pm.
The Mad Frogs are coming off of a solid 2015 season. They qualified to the state amatuer tournament in Mitchell by defeating the Irene Cardinals in the losers bracket qualification game last July 6 to 4. Previously in the 6B tourney, the Frogs took care of Lesterville 3-0 in Game One but dropped a tough contest to eventual 6B tourney champs Tabor 3-2 in the semis.
In Mitchell, the Frogs beat the Armour Kings in the first round game 9-6. Their season came to an end via a State Line opponent in the Larchwood Diamonds 6-1 in the second round.
The Sox will host Menno this Wednesday and also have scheduled two more South Central League teams on the docket for next week. The Greys will host the Irene Cardinals on Thursday, May 12 and travel to Wynot for a Friday evening matchup against the Expos on May 13.
