2016 Season Starts

The 2016 season is just around the corner, and the Greysox have again another full slate of games with tough local opponents throughout the summer.

First on the schedule is the Lennox Classic.

Saturday, April 30, the Sox head to Lennox for the annual Lennox Classic and take on two squads they have never faced - the S.A.B.L. All Stars at 3pm and the Corsica Horned Frogs at 5pm.  Both games are scheduled for 7 innings.

The All Star team from the Sioux Amatuer Baseball League is out of Sioux Falls and not much is known about their team.  More than likely they will load their bus full of outstanding talent that routinely hits bombs like its their job every Sunday afternoon. 

In 2014, the Corsica Horned Frogs, out of the Sunshine League, earned their last state tournament berth in Class B.  They will be looking to get back to state this season and aim to give the Greysox a tough game at 5pm. 

The Greys will return home to the friendly confines of Prentis Park on Sunday, May 1 at 7:30pm to take on the Crofton Blue Jays in their third non-league game of the season.  The Blue Jays are coming off a successful 2015 campaign - runner up in the 6B tournament and earning a trip to the state tourney in Mitchell.
