Welcome to the home of Trail Youth Baseball!
We will be fielding two all star travel teams this year for kids wishing to tryout from the entire West Kootenays. The 18U College Prep team will play in the BC Minor Baseball League and will play a schedule of home and away games that will begin in mid April and will finish by the end of July. Interested players or parents should contact Jim Maniago for details and tryout dates and times. The 15U Bantam team will play a mixture of exhibition games, tournaments, and league games in the BC Minor Baseball League, that will run from May until mid to late July. Interested players or parents should contact Jim Maniago as well for details and tryout dates and times. Travel, approximate schedules, and commitment expectations will be communicated by the coaches before tryouts are held. A second Bantam All Star Team has been discussed, depending on the interest and turnout at the 15U tryouts.
Anyone interested in coaching or helping out with a house league team or an all star team, please Jim Maniago at lmlw@hotmail.com or 250-368-7489.
Umpires are also in serious demand. If you or someone you know has a free night and want to earn some extra money, contact Bill MacMillan at bipamac@telus.net. The umpire clinic is April 19th and 26th at the Montrose Hall, from 6:30pm to 9:30pm both nights. The clinic is FREE for anyone registered on the BCBUE website here: https://members.bcbua.ca/?pg=clinics And Trail Youth Baseball will reimburse the fees for the registration once you have worked 5 games as an umpire.
League registration is open!! We are running the registration on the Trail Little League website again, as a part of an ongoing partnership between Trail Youth Baseball and Trail Little League. Note that all information on that website is for Little League (ages 5-12), except the registration page dedicated to Trail Youth Baseball, 13 and up.
