Mark Minor - Most Inspirational Player Award - Dana McNish (Rivers)
The following is the write-up submitted to the league upon nomination from the Rivers Comets:
At 38 years old, Dana is the emotional leader of our team. When we were debating on whether to leave the league in Brandon it was Dana who spoke up and said we need to go to the SWBL because it is a better league and it is better for us. His point swayed a bunch of guys who were undecided if we should leave. He was a leader on the field this year hitting .469 with 3 home runs. Dana also dedicates his time to coaching in Rivers Minor Baseball and is always there for a work bee or when a project is started at the ball diamond, and sits on the executive of the River baseball Association which helps manage and run the ballpark.
