Posted March 8, 2021
The Polars and Ptarmigans met for the 61st time with the Ptarmigans coming out on top 16-6. Korbel would score the game’s first touchdown and Jon Schoenecker would follow up and score a two point conversion. After the first touchdown both defenses held up and the halftime score was 8-0.
The Polars offensive would be hurt with too many turnovers. Ben Buthe would lead the defense with several tackles ask well as an interception. Paul Frykman, Austin Weinandt and Nick Schoenecker would all recover fumbles.
The Ptarmigans would score first in the second half when Chad Skluzacek hit Alex Eide for a 15 yard touchdown strike. Skluzacek would run in the two-point conversion to put the Ptarmigans up 16-0. The Polars were led by Ryan Haugen at quarterback with Zack Shetka and Noah Woltjer at running back. The Polars would answer back with a touchdown run from Woltjer but they would fail on the two-point conversion.
