LARGE ALBERTA STORM CANCELS GAME IN LEDUC

A large cold front moved into the central Alberta region on Tuesday afternoon brining with it high winds and enough rain to cancel the Braves game against the Milleteers in Leduc.

The storm would wipe out the Powerline Baseball League's schedule for Tuesday June 20, with the Sherwood Park vs Armena game called before first pitch and the Rosalind at Holden game called after two innings due to the rain. Tuesday's rainouts were the third game in a row that both the Sherwood Park Athletics and the Holden Blue Jays have been unable to play due to the weather. The Braves will now have two games to make up as the May 25 game in Camrose versus the Roadrunners was moved to June 27 due to earlier unplayable conditions.

No word yet as to when the Braves will travel back to Leduc to take on the Milleteers.

Next up for the Braves will be a tough road schedule as they travel to Rosalind on Thursday to take on the first place Athletics in PBL play, before having to return to Rosalind on Friday to play the Rosalind Old Timers to kick off 2017 Athletics Tournament. Depending on the tournament schedule and how the Braves do, they could see themselves travelling to Rosalind on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday this week.
