***(September 20th, 2009) - The Blues take this opportunity to congratulate 3B Scott Jones and P Phil Villhauer on being named the 2009 recipient of the Billy Craven Memorial Award (MVP) and the 2009 RCBL Pitcher of the Year Award respectively.  Jones' win being the 3rd time in 4 years a Blues player has been so honoured while Villhauer is the first Blue to win POTY.

In addition, congratulations to MGR/1B Todd Ashley for being named the inaugural recipient of the Isabella DiBucchianico Award to honour dedication and perserverance to baseball and the RCBL.

Great job by all 3.

*** (September 21st, 2008) - Our own 2B Paul Thomason is awarded The Billy Craven Memorial Award, which is presented to the MVP of the regular season. Paul had an amazing season and is the second Blue to receive the award in its three year existence. The other being Ben Robinson in 2006.  Congratulations Paul!

*** (July 12th, 2008) - A congratulations goes out to OF/P Ryan Ham and his boo Joy Christopher who tied the knot today here in Guelph. The Blues wish you many wonderful years of marriage bliss.

*** (July 6th, 2008) - SS Jeff Blythe has made a quick recovery from injury, missing only one game last week, as he started at shortstop for the game versus the Brewers...  

*** (July 2nd, 2008) - SS Jeff Blythe injures right thumb on a great play in game vs Tesco, in Erie... Blythe is out indefinitely with torn muscles in thumb...

*** (May 25th, 2008) - Due to scheduling conflicts, P Shawn Walker will see limited playing time this year for the Blues during the regular season... However, Shawn and the team hope he will be able to play the required 7 games needed during the season, to be eligible for the playoffs...

*** (May 21st, 2008) - The team would like to announce their new sponsorship for the 2008 season... Shoeless Joe's has taken over the reigns as our place to go to after ball games for a few drinks and eats... We thank them for their support and at the same time, we like to thank our old sponsor for the past five years, Squirrel Tooth Alice's for all they have done in the recent championship years...

Here you will find news going on with the team, such as events or injury reports... Also, this year, stats will be included for fans, and players to see... Click on the final score of a game in the schedule, and you will see the stats for that game... If you go to Roster, and click on an individual player, you will see his stats for the season... If you simply go to Stats, you will see the entire team stats for the year... Perhaps in the future, career stats and player photos might make an appearance as well...

*** (May 20th, 2008) -  The Guelph Blues would like to welcome you all to the 2008 Royal City Baseball Season... With a victory in their first game of the season, the Blues are hoping to get back to familiar territory as champions, after losing their title last year to the Dirt Bags... The team would like to welcome newcomers 3B Dagan King (free agent from Young Guns) and P Ian Ballantyne, who has made his way back to the RCBL after a few years away from the league... The Blues give their best wishes to players who have decided not to come back with the team... IF Harley Roque, P Andrew McDermid and 2006 RCBL MVP, CF Ben Robinson...
