Bombs away
Posted July 6, 2015
The Beavers played their final road game of the season as they took on winners of six straight Wilkie Brewers. The offense finally exploded and put together a solid game as the Beavers won 14-6. There were a total of four homers in the game as Rick Cey of Wilkie started it off in the first with a two run bomb in the bottom of the first. However the Beavers came storming back with back to back bombs from Palmer and Eischen. Later in the game Gatzke hit a solo homerun which put a cap to great game.
Inkster was on the mound and pitched a solid five innings to pick up the win. Tyler Russell pitched the last two innings.
With the win the Beavers are 3-8 and have a slim chance of making the playoffs. The boys must win their last two games and hope Macklin loses their last two.
Next action is Monday July 6th as Mervin comes to town.
