Girls' state highlights

Congratulations to the girls’ track team for their performances in the AHSAA state championships this past weekend.  On the track , the 4 x 800 relay consisting of Seniors Lizzie Porr, Anna Adams, Abby Ferlise and Sophomore Lexi Bolton  raced to a seasonal best of 9:30 and an all-state spot on the podium for 3^rd place.  The three  seniors also put up outstanding performances in the open 800 later that same day. Ferlise finished 5^th with a lifetime best of 2:13.75 while Porr and adams ran 2:18 and 2:20 respectively.   Ferlsie also finished 5^th overall in the 400m dash running 58.88. Sophomore Madison Robinson ran a pr of 48.05 in the finals of the 300h for eighth place.  The girls’ 4 x 400 relay finished 10^th overall consisting of Porr, Grace Salmon, Claire Elebash, and Ferlise on the anchor leg.

            Highlights in the field events include Mimi Strain throwing a season best of 99-6 in the javelin and Jennifer Dolan also vaulting a season best of 9-6 in the pole vault.  EC Harbough triple jumped over 34 ft
