Royals split games vs Outlaws and Blue Jays
Posted July 29, 2010
The Royals lost their game on Tuesday night 4-1 against the Outlaws. Braden Bauml pitched two solid innings and Bret Yarskie pitched very well for the rest of the game. They did not give up an earned run as there were two very costly errors made which led to all four Outlaws runs. Kyle Palmer threw a complete game for the Outlaws and had the Royals number on this night as they only managed five hits.
The Royals were right back at it on Wednesday night as they took on the Blue Jays. The Royals won this game by a score of 6-3. Jesse Johb started and threw 4 and a 1/3 and Josh Johb finished the game up. The brothers pitched a very good game and the defence behind them was strong committing only one error. The boys pounded out 10 hits with Curtis Strueby leading the way with two. The win has clinched the Royals second place is the SSBL. This is the sixth time in seven years that the Royals have finished 2nd overall in league play. The only time they haven't was last year when they finished first. Next action for the Royals is this weekend at the Senior AA Provincial Championship in Regina. Good Luck Royals!!
