Royals bats stay hot

The Royals took on the Diggers on Friday in Saskatoon. Behind a complete game three hitter from Nick Anderson we won by a 12-2 score. The bats were big again with twelve hits and the defense did not make an error for once. Brett Doepker, Geoff Strueby, and Brent Puetz had a pair each to lead the way.
We then took on the Blue Jays in a double dip at home on Sunday. The first game saw Thomas Lessmeister throw four and Brent Puetz three innings as we lost 12-8. The Blue Jays hit the ball really well as we made only one error. We hit well with eleven hits. They simply beat us.
The next game saw us win by a 15-3 score. Braden Bauml and Geoff Strueby each hit a homerun. Nick Anderson continued his winning ways on the mound throwing four innings while giving up only one run. Adam Gerwing finished the game off on the mound for th Royals. We only made one error and once again had twelve hits as a team.
Next action for the Royals is Friday at 6:30 against the Hoppers in Saskatoon.
