Royals sweep away the weekend

The Royals played three games this past weekend. Despite some poor defensive play, they came away with three wins. They defeated the Outlaws on Friday by a score of 7-5. Thomas Lessmeister got the win in relief after a strong start by Nick Anderson. Luke Strueby drove in the winning run in the seventh. Sunday saw the Royals take on the Hoppers in Marysburg. Colin Bauml started on the hill throwing two strong innings. Thomas Lessmeister then came in and threw a great final five innings to get the win. All five runs were unearned as our defense was awful making five errors. Cam Blair hit a bomb and had four RBI's in the win!
The next game saw Mathew Strueby throw two innings, Carter Frerichs three, and Eric Bollefer two with Carter getting the win. Once again we made four errors which lead to four unearned runs. Brett Doepker hit tw bombs with Dustin Emberley, Rylan Korte, and Braden Bauml adding singles.Luke Strueby also had three hits in the win.
Next action for the Royals is next Sunday at home against the Guns beginning at 1pm.
