Game Notes: The Fox and Hound Giants and Delta Tigers finally got to play their divisional semi-final playoff game on Sept 25th. The Tigers have been a league powerhouse for years and have had their way with the Giants until recently. Giant starting pitcher Trevor Cieszecki gave up a first inning home run to Tim Wilkins but after that he shut the door the rest of the way giving up 5 hits and striking out three for his five innings of work. Jacob Harder then came in and pitched three innings allowing no runs and strking out four. and Trevor Kuby closed out the ninth. The Giant offensive went wild scoring 16 runs to beat the Tigers 16-1. The Giants pounded out 17 hits including two home runs, a two run bomb by Trevor C in the bottom of the first. Greg Moffatt then smashed his first ever wood bat grand slam to put the Giants up 8-1 afater two. Tyler Jones continued his hot heating streak going 4 for 5 and leading the Giant offense. Jordan Fatkin made the defensive play of the game thowing out a Delta runner at the plate trying to score from second. Giants with two hits were Spenser T, Greg M, Domingo G, Gavin Mac, Mark Reid, Giant singles by Jacob H, Steve B. The Giants now play the Delta Dodger in the Mathers division final.
