LHS JV Offense Dominates in Back to Back Wins
Posted April 24, 2017
Lennox's JV made the baseball hurt this past weekend as the bats crushed the ball all over the park on their way to a 6 to 3 win and a 10 to 8 win.
Lennox's JV had struggled the past few games to get the bats going only scoring only 14 runs in the past four games, all of those games were losses as well. This weekend brought some new bounce to the bats for the JV as they were able to score 16 runs in two games to pick up two wins and move to 4 and 4.
Lennox squared off against Canton and some early hits from Canton led to a 3-0 lead after two and a half innings. In the bottom of the third, Lennox got four walks, a double from Zach Wipf and singles from JD Halverson, Masen Miller, Mason Lottman and Camden Wulf to score 6 runs for Lennox and take a 6 to 3 lead. Holden Wagner would earn the win as he worked a shutout 4th inning to give Lennox's JV a 6 to 3 win.
Lennox then battled the Hanson County JV and after a slow start, Lennox was down 4 to 0. However, Lennox got it going as they picked up 6 runs in the bottom of the third highlighted by a lead off single from Sophomore JD Kirchner and a 2 RBI single from Sophomore Zach Wipf. Lennox wasn't done scoring though as they added 4 more runs in the 4th being highlighted again by a leadoff single from JD Kirchner and a one RBI single from Zach Wipf. Both Kirchner and Wipf had a successful day at the plate for the LHS JV.
Lennox's JV is now 4 and 4 after picking up back to back wins. The JV team has another big weekend coming as they play the Sioux Falls Christian JV team on Saturday at 6 and then they travel to Dakota Valley on Sunday for the Dakota Valley JV Inviatational Tournament.
So make sure you make it to Renner on Saturday or the JV tournament on Sunday. There should be some good baseball. Keep an eye on the website for an update of when Lennox's JV will play during this weekend's JV tournament.
