Supers Sink the Pirates

The Supers hosted their final regular season game of the year on Wednesday, July 7 against the Parkland Pirates. After taking a 2-0 lead, the Supers surrendered three in the the top of the third, but added four in the bottom of the third and never looked back in an 8-4 victory.
Travis Mentanko set the tone early with a solo home run in the bottom of the first. He would go on to hit a double and a single, while scoring two runs to lead the way offensively. Sean Kolodziejski also hit a home run, plus a single and had two rbis. Zach Rakochy continued his hot hitting with a single, double and three rbis. Ian Quewezance, Derek Palagian and Taber Ebert each collected one hit.
Kholton Shewchuk tossed five innings to collect the win. He gave up six hits and three earned runs while striking out 2. Derek Palagian picked up the save allowing just one run over two innings.
With the win, the Supers raised their record to 6 wins and 1 loss. The next game will be Monday, July 12 at the Parkland Pirates. First pitch will be 7:30 PM at Pirie Field in Melville
