Thursday May 24 - Supers 25 Parkland Padres 0
On this evening everything went well for the Supers. 3 pitchers combined for a no hitter as Kholton Shewchuk, Adam Korb, and Dylan Toffan combined to face only one over the minimum as one Padre hitter reached on an error. This was the third Supers no hitter since 2011 as Colby Parachoniak had one in Langenburg in 2014 and Derek Palagian had one vs Swan River in 2011.
The bats were lethal as the Supers had twenty hits. Brennan Hedin and Derek Marshall made their Supers debut on this evening
Saturday May 26 - Supers 3 at Grandview Lakers 9
A beautiful evening of baseball in Grandview took a turn for the worse as only three Supers recorded a hit off of Lakers pitcher Branden Storey in a 9-3 loss
Greg Andreychuk had a single and 2 rbi. Ian Quewezance had an rbi single while Terry Cumming also had a single. Unfortunately the offence just could not get going.
Colby Parachoniak started on the hill, and cruised through the first two innings six up six down. With two out and one on in the third, the wheels fell off as a couple walks and four base hits led to five Lakers runs. He was relieved by Dylan Toffan who pitched 2 1/3 innings allowing four runs. Terry Cumming pitched one inning.
Monday May 28 Langenburg Legends 5 at Supers 4
In this contest Langenburg brought the lumber with ten hits and five runs. Trailing 5-1 heading into the bottom of the 7th, the Supers character showed as they got to within one run with the bases loaded before Langenburg ultimately recorded the final out to get the victory.
Kholton Shewchuk went the distance on the mound throwing 96 pitches while giving up just three earned runs with three strikeouts.
Sean Kolodziejski led the way with two singles and an rbi. Derek Palagian, Even Rostotski and Travis Mentanko each had one hit and an rbi. Overall the bats could not get much going off of Legends pitcher Dane Kobylko
The rally in the 7th showed the no quit attitude and resiliency of the Supers, and the knowledge that no game is over until the last out is made.
After the loss the Supers record fell to 2 wins and 3 losses on the season
