A world record was tied for the fewest runs scored in a 7 inning baseball game on June 8 in Yorkton as the Supers and Yorkton Yankees played to a 0-0 tie in front of a good crowd at Jubilee Park.
Both teams starting pitchers pitched complete games, gave up zero runs, only gave up three hits, and both share the first name of Logan: Parachoniak for the Supers and Calanchie for the Yankees. Both were on top of their games and deserved to win, but unfortunately had to settle for a tie. Parachoniak also picked off two runners at first base to kill potential Yankee rallies
Zach Goulden-Maddin had another impressive day for the Supers with two singles and good defence at shortstop, The Supers other hit was by outfielder Greg Andreychuk with a two out double in the top of the seventh inning to make things interesting.
Both teams fielding was impressive as the Supers made only one error while the Yankees did not make any.
With the tie the Supers record sits at 6 wins, 2 losses and 2 ties (6-2-2). Their next game will be Sunday, June 11 in Yorkton at 6:15 PM vs the Orioles
