DH Vs. the Horns

Great day for ball, and we went in to game 1 looking for the season series win over the Longhorns.  We sent Mitch to the bump against FMBA vet Ted, who has been a royal pain in our ass for 10 years.  Gotta give Teddy credit, he's still got it, he held our bats at bay for several innings, until we broke it open in the second half of the game.  Mitch was outstanding, scattering 5 hits and staying out of trouble for the duration of his 6 innings of work.  Luis came in and finished off the 7th inning.  leading to a 9-4 final.  Between games, it was discovered that several vehicles in the parking lot had been broken in to, which was a huge bummer.

Game 2 we sent Latty out to the bump and he was also doing very well, and our bats stayed red hot, shooting doubles all over the yard until light rain for a half hour and the game was suspended by the umpires, even though the field was more than playable with a little mound work...curious decision, but it is what it is...  Anyways, we are up 6-2 in the bottom of the third inning with runners on 1st and 2nd when it starts up again in August.

Highlights: 

-Mitch, dialed.

-Dubbsy, Riki and Kale smashing the ball consistently

-Kade, in his first ABs since grade 10, going 2-4 and looking like a beast up there.

-CD booting the Dbacks boot twice, once into Cole's chest.

-Kye missing the game with severe diarrhea

-Parker doing his homework on the bench.

-Latos continuing to wield a hot bat.

-Kach bringing some tasty sasparillas for post game

-Other things.

All-in-all, great day at the ballpark.
