DBacks downed by Mukes 7-5

Posted June 16, 2014

The DBacks rolled into Wednesday night's game vs. the Mukes (aka the Met-Dukes) on quite the streak, looking for an easy victory against the historically God-awful franchise.

Oops.

Turns out the Mukes' recruiting staff went far beyond the drunk imbeciles at Ranchmans and they actually picked up some ball players.

Case-in-point: the Mukes started their ace 14-year-old on the mound. Fresh off the Innisfail pitching machines, the DBacks had some difficulty with the dick-high 80mph fastballs. The Dbacks mustered one extra-base hit all game - by professional scorekeeper/bp thrower/ball retriever - and on this day, DH - Matt Strukoff.

Veteran knuckleballer Tony Wylie didn't have his best stuff on this day, and surrendered several dying quails, Texas leaguers, and duck farts to the hit-for-contact Mukes.

The DBacks had several chances to get back in the game, but were about as clutch as the San Jose Sharks in the playoffs. The Joe Thornton award for this game goes to James Trask, who left approximately 167 runners on base.

MVP: Chatwood, Strukoff
Vag badge: Trask for jinxing the game 2 hours before start.
