Our Vision and Mission...........

Vision: To assist young student athletes to receive scholarships through basketball competition. Enhance spiritual growth, life skills, leadership, personal communication and teamwork through coaching sessions, discussion and athletic competition.

Mission: Expose high school student athletes to competitive basketball at its highest level…on a national platform that is not available during their regular high school basketball season. Allow athletes to travel outside their local communities, to observe and compete against student athletes from other regions of the United States.

West Florida Emerald Sports was created in 1998 as an organization committed to creating, building, and maintaining a tradition of basketball excellence within the Florida Panhandle and Gulf Coast Region. The primary objective of our organization has been to provide “a positive learning experience for young men” through a healthy and wholesome atmosphere, created by a staff committed to building self-esteem and self-confidence in each player.

West Florida Emerald Sports organization is convinced that our basketball players: (1) must learn the basic skills and principles of the great sport of basketball and then be able to execute and apply those concepts in real game situations, (2) understand the importance of teamwork, mental attitude, and tremendous drive to succeed, (3) believe in playing together, (4) follow a progressive system of play through our basketball program.

The annual cost to sustain our program is approximately $25,000 annually. This covers the cost of equipment, team uniforms, tournament entry fees, administrative costs, and travel expenses. We are asking for your help to defray these costs by becoming a Sponsor of West Florida Emerald Sports. West Florida Emerald Sports teams consist of a select group of young men who have an opportunity to play competitive basketball throughout the United States of America. We are asking for your support to help these young men reach both their individual and team goals. West Florida Emerald Sports 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization exemption is (Pending); nonetheless all contributions are tax-deductible and will be deemed as such by the IRS. With your generous contribution, these young men will move closer to being able to actively participate in regional and national tournaments to gain access to the best exposure available nationwide. Your contributions will help support travel, lodging, team uniforms, and tournament expenses.
