Dbacks celebrate Canada Day with 2 wins over Twins

CAIRNS, SK - The Saskatoon Diamondbacks moved their overall record to 25-10-1 and their division record to 21-5 on Canada Day by beating the Twins 6-4 and 3-2. Graham Forrester picked up his fourth win of the year pitching 6.1 innings allowing 4 runs on 3 hits with 3 BBs and 6 K's. Justen Tehse got the save pitching the final 2/3 of the inning clean. The Dbacks offence was lead by Ethan Godson who was 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs. Garrett Krachuk was 1 for 2 with an RBI while Tyrone Polson and Nolan Machibroda were both 1 for 3.
JD Storozynsky started the second game for the Dbacks pitching 3 innings and allowing 1 run with 4 BBs and 4 K's. Tehse picked up his third win of the year pitching the final 4 innings allowing 2 runs on 4 hits with 4 BBs and 7 Ks. Krawchuk went 2 for 3 at the dish while Ryan Olchoway and Machibroda were both 1 for 2. Brayden Tiede rounded out the offence going 1 for 3.
The Dbacks take on the 10-11 Giants tonight at Cairns with games at 6 and 9.
