Angels nod off in nightcap
Posted May 29, 2017
Game 2 of the Weyburn doubleheader saw Braydon Cobb face off against Brandon Hutt, the A's submarine sidewinder. For two innings, each pitcher confounded opponent batters. The Angels opened the scoring in the 3rd thanks to Noah Kaytor and Colin Gudereit reaching on infield errors. However, the Angels would have defensive issues of their own to deal with in the bottom half, leading to Cobb giving way to Chase Pelletier behind 6-1. Angels would add another run in the 5th, stranding one, and leave two runners on in the 7th to end the game, 6-2. Pelletier held the A's at bay for over 3 innings but the Angels could not mount the comeback against complete gamer Hutt.
