Maroons Defeat Lockhart 3-1 in Bi-District Playoff Game

Friday night your varsity soccer team started the UIL playoffs as one of 32 teams still playing in Region 4. They are now one of 16 teams still in season by defeating Lockhart 3-1.
After a close first half the Maroons got on the board first when Chloe Norris beat the keeper low after a perfect flick from Stephanie von Rosenberg.
The second half continued with more dominant play from the Maroons. Gracie Jackson double the lead when the received a cross from von Rosenberg and one timed it past the keeper.
The game would be put out of reach in the 21st minutes of the second half when Mia Czarnecki riffled a shot past the keeper from a Maddie Heal pass.
The defense of Jena Carr, Jasper Cohn and Sarah Jane Moe limited Lockhart to 5 shots on goal and 0 corners. Rachel Williams gets the win in goal.
The Area round of playoffs will be played Tuesday, April 3rd against San Antonio Jefferson at New Braunfels Canyon high at 7:30 pm.
We need every maroon fan heading south on I35 to New Braunfels.
