Imperial, Sask., located between Regina and Saskatoon and home to around 350 people. One of them is now a member of Canada's World Junior Team.

Connor Ingram, a third-round pick of the Tampa Bay Lightning, was one of two goalies to make the cut following Canada's selection camp. Hockey Canada released its 22-man roster after an 8-0 win over the Czech Republic Wednesday night.

Ingram, a member of the Kamloops Blazers, carried a record of 14-9-1 into camp, with a 2.12 goals-against average, a .935 save percentage and two shut-outs.

It is expected that Ingram will battle with Everett Silvertips goalie Carter Hart for Canada's number one goalie spot. The only other goaltender in camp, Michael McNiven, was cut on Wednesday.

More players could potentially join the Canadian team. The National Hockey League roster freeze for the holidays is not until Monday, meaning any current NHL players could still be released for the tournament.

Canada opens the World Juniors on Boxing Day against Russia. All of Canada's games can be heard on 980 CJME and 650 CKOM.
