Welcome to the Parkland Whitesox Senior Baseball Club Home Page
January 25, 2012
Welcome to the 2012 Season of Parkland Whitesox Baseball. The Whitesox have gone through some major changes this past offseason after winning their 3rd NCABL title in 4 years. The largest change came in November when management decided to make the chnage to the Sunburst AAA Baseball League. This decision came after several years of deliberation amongst the players on the team. The next major change came when 4 year vetran Aaron Huber decided to hang up his cleats and retire from the Parkland Whitesox Baseball Club. Aaron has been an integral member of the team playing third base and pitching. In his 4 years with the Whitesox Huber had a pitching record of 13-9 while striking out 156 batters, at the plate Huber finished with a career batting average of 0.335.
By joining the Sunburst Baseball League the Sox will join the ranks of the Fort Saskatchewan A's, St. Albert Tigers, Red Deer Stags, and Red Deer Riggers. Parkland will open the 2012 season on the road as they head down Hwy 2 to face the Red Deer Stags on May 24th. They will then head home to take on the St. Albert Tigers in their home opener May 25th at Henry Singer Park in Spruce Grove.
