Game Recaps:

6/1 Marshall 12---- Oregon Black 6

Black took one on the chin in Marshall. The Cardinals jumped out to an early lead with a combination of big hits and Oregon defensive miscues. Noah Engelhart pitched solidly in relief giving the team a chance to fight back into the ball game. After being down 9-1 the team staged a modest comeback and ended up on the short end of a 12-6 decision. Catchers Zach Klementz and Andrew Pliner threw out baserunners and James Lemke made  a strong defensive play on a line drive and threw to second to double up a runner.

5/30 Oregon Black 7---- Watertown Prepside 4

Lukas Mueller had two doubles, executed a suicide squeeze and picked up the win, in relief. Oregon jumped out to a three run lead early but Watertown tied it up in the fourth. Noah Engelhart walked and scored on Joey Andriacchi's two out single. Oregon scored three insurance runs in the sixth as Mueller plated Lemke on a squeeze bunt and Travis Flukiger's two out single drove in two. Andrew Pliner threw three scoreless as the starter for Oregon. Pliner, Cole Hefty and Mueller combined to limit the Mustangs to one hit on the night.

5/23 Oregon Black 8---- Lake Mills 5

Defense, pitching and aggressive baserunning led the Black team to an opening win. Lukas Mueller, Noah Engelhart and Colin Bundy combined on a 6 hit 9K-5BB performance from the hill. Oregon Black drew 12 walks and stole 11 bases against Lake Mills pitching.  Austin Busler drove in two on a first inning single and Andrew Pliner doubled in a run in the 5th.  Travis Fluckiger and Lukas Mueller each laid down successful squeeze bunts to plate important runs.
