North Shore Twins
Prep Team

The North Shore Twins Prep Baseball program is an elite developmental program designed to provide dedicated young players (13 & 14 years of age) opportunities to compete at the highest level possible and to achieve their baseball related goals. The Prep team is affiliated with Babe Ruth Baseball and operates under the umbrella of the North Shore Twins baseball club which has teams competing in the BC Premier Baseball League at both the Senior and Junior levels. The Senior team is the reigning 2007 & 2008 Champions!

It is one of the goals of the North Shore Twins baseball program to produce not only top quality baseball players but also respected individuals by instilling the principles of sportsmanship, teamwork, honesty, and work ethic. The Twins program also places a high priority on academics and emphasizes that school performance is a critical component in the success of each player's development.

Players from all areas are welcome to play at the Prep level. You should be aware, however, that the eligibility of Junior and Premier (Senior) players is bound by territories defined by the BCPBL. For those teams it is important that your place of residence falls within the Twins territory or you have a release from the team in whose territory you live. Check the BCPBL website for details of the various territories and the open areas where players are free to choose the team they play for. If there are any uncertainties, do not hesitate to contact us.

DON'T MISS the BURGER & BEER NIGHT on NOVEMBER 5th!

The details are set... on November 5th the North Shore Twins Baseball Club will host its inaugural Burger & Beer Night.  It promises to be a lively, adult-oriented event with a fabulous Silent Auction, great Door Prizes, and more! 

We know that the families of all three programs—Premier, Junior and Prep—will support the event.

Help Wanted

The Prep team is currently seeking to fill some key positions ... Your assistance is vital and much appreciated. Please speak to Tom Nevison is you are able to assist in any of the following areas:

Umpires:
Three or four certified Umpires, preferably from the North Shore for logistic reasons, are required for home games; they would have to be qualified to umpire Bantam AAA games. If you know of any could you please get them to contact Tom Nevison ASAP or let him know so he can call them?

Scorekeeper:
A volunteer with a solid scorekeeping background is required to keep score and team stats using the team's Palm Pilot.

Photographer(s):
If you have an interest in photography and a decent digital camera we could use your assistance for team photos, action shots, etc. The photos will not only provide an important record of the season but will also be posted to the website and maybe even published in the North Shore News!

Reporter:
The North Shore News will publish stories about us if a team representative provides them with the information and pictures! The stories could also be posted to the Prep website.
