Answer these questions to give yourself a strong vision:
Why am I involved with football?
What motivates me to win?
How will I win?
How will I motivate others to win?
How will practice include positive actions to achieve these goals?
Where have we failed in the past?
How can we keep from repeating those failures?
How can I build trust and loyalty within the team?
So much can be said about the philosophy of football. A good philosophy is to conduct yourself professionally, be ethical, lead your team to your vision, and promote your program. Being honest and showing integrity with players, referees, and fans is crucial. Football is all about handling adversity. You’ll have a million problems thrown at you at the same time, so don’t sweat it. The coach has to be the calm and collected mastermind. If you build trust and loyalty, your team will depend on you. Have a good mind state going into practice and you’ll win games.
