Countdown to 2012 Season Opener (May 15/12)

       Welcome to the Saskatoon Smokin' Guns home page

      The Smokin' Guns were eliminated from playoffs on Sunday with a 4-0 loss to the Marysburg Royals. Game #1 was won by the Guns 2-1 on Saturday, Josh Marshall got the CG win. Game #2 went Sunday at noon, Sundays affair was heated one. The benchs cleared in the bottom of the 5th inning after words exchanged at second base escalated. When the dust settled, Marysburg took the game 4-3. Game #3 took place right after game #2, Marysburg took a 1-0 lead in the 4th, they then pushed across 3 more runs in the top of the 7th. The Guns lacked some clutch hitting all series long and seemed to be drained for game #3 after such an emotional high in their first game on Sunday.  

Congratulations on a great year, this season's 2nd place finish was the highest the Guns have ever finished in the standings.
