Cologne Hollanders

Hollanders come out flat in first game of Playoffs as the Cardinals take the first game 15-1. A few timely hits for the Cardinals after walks is what did it to the Hollanders. We'll go at it again Friday Night and give the Cardinals our best to try and even up the series!!

Playoffs begin this week!! The Hollanders will take on the Cardinals from Young America. All games will be played in Young America. The first will be on Wednesday July 16th with the Hollanders being the home team. Then Friday again in YA with the Cardinals playing host. If it is a split in the first two game the deciding third game will be on Sunday July 19th in YA. Night game begin at 8:00 and the day game would be 2:00. In the other series in the South Division Carver will take on Norwood Tuesday and Thursday, again all games will be played in Norwood. Same scenerio as our series. Hamburg and Brownton await the winners for the following week.

Hollanders Finish the season with a tough loss to the Norwood Indians 13-8. The defense was not what it was a day earlier but the offense battle from two deficits to either tie or take a lead. But in the end the defense let the pitchers down. The final record goes to 4-22 for the season.

Hollanders Win!!! The Hollanders pick up their 4th win of the year 2nd in league play as the beat on the Mayer Blazers 7-2. Jason Kuerschner takes to the mound for the Hollanders and tosses 7 strong innings giving up 2 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 3. Rob Mobeck comes into clean up the final 2 innings earning the save. At the plate Blake Noennig goes 4-5 with 2 RBI a run scored and 5 stolen bases.
