Burnaby Bulldogs Announce Exhibition Series Against Burnaby Collegiate Bulldogs

The Burnaby Bulldogs Baseball Club announced today that an exhibition series has been scheduled between the Senior Club and the new Summer Collegiate Squad.

This series will see games played at Robert Burnaby Park - Home of the Bulldogs Organization.

The Summer Collegiate team will be made up up players from Douglas College and UBC along with a couple of players home from US schools for the summer.

The baby 'Dogs will be coached by former Senior player Connor Janes, who has just finished his first season as an Assistant Coach at UBC and Jeff Zeilstra, who led the France National team to a 5th place finish at the European Olympic Qualifier.



Burnaby Bulldogs Announce Exhibition Series Against Team Canada

The Burnaby Bulldogs Baseball Club is very pleased to announce that they will be playing host to Team Canada for an exhibition series July 10 - 12 at scenic Robert Burnaby Park.

Team Canada, Baseball Canada's entry into the World University Games in the Czech Republic, will end their training camp with these games and will depart from Vancouver to represent our nation on the world stage.

Team Canada, will be lead by Head Coach Terry McKaig of the UBC Thunderbirds, and will be made up of the best university enrolled players from Canada. It is expected that the roster will include players from UBC, the CIS Baseball program as well as players returning from US schools for the summer.

The Senior Bulldogs will play Team Canada on Thursday July 10th and Friday July 11th at 6:30pm with the Collegiate Bulldogs playing Team Canada in the finale of the series on Saturday July 12th at 11am.



Burnaby Bulldogs Announce and Release 2008 Schedule

The Burnaby Bulldogs Baseball club is pleased to announce the schedule for the 2008 season is complete and now available on our webpage.

The Bulldogs will again compete in the Pacific Metro Baseball League, which will see 26 games make up the bulk of the schedule.

Additional non-league games have been added and include games at scenic Robert Burnaby Park against Pacific Internatonal League powerhouses Seattle Studs (2) and Everett Merchants (2). The West Coast Baseball Academy Cave Ducks (2), Western Canada Baseball Association Senior Champions Nanaimo Coal Miners (2) and the Trail Orioles (2) will also visit Burnaby this summer.

The 'Dogs will also play up to 6 games against the Burnaby Bulldogs Baseball Clubs newest addition, the Burnaby Collegiate Bulldogs (a summer college team), that is slated to begin operations this May.

Rounding out the schedule will be the annual trip to Kelowna for the 2008 Canada Day Baseball Blast Tournament and hopefully a return to the Grand Forks Internatonal Baseball Tournament on the Labour Day Long Weekend.
