Posted Aug 5/09 - D'Backs finsh 3rd at State Championships

What a season! The Diamondbacks go 24-10 and finish in 3rd place at the Washington State Championships! Great job boys! The D'Backs went 2-2 at States, defeating Yakima 10-1 and Moses Lake 8-7 and lost twice to Woodinville. An outstanding first year in American Legion baseball.

West Kootenay Diamondbacks are heading to the Washington State Junior 'A' Championships after winning the Spokane American Legion Junior 'A' North Division on Saturday. Jordan Roblin threw a No-Hitter in Game 1 vs. Mt. Spokane, and then the bats rallied for an 8 run seventh inning comeback in Game 2 to take the title.

Posted Jul 25/09 - Diamondbacks win game 3 vs. Mead #1 to win first round playoff series
The West Kootenay Diamondbacks beat Mead #1 Panthers in a do-or-die Game 3 match up to advance to the North Division Championship series vs. Mt. Spokane Wildcats. Dallas Calvin threw a complete game No-Hitter along with 9 strikeouts and the offense did the rest putting up 5 runs in the first inning and 11 in total.

Posted Jul 23/09 - Diamondbacks win opening game of playoffs
The West Kootenay Diamondbacks started the 2009 playoffs with a huge 10-0 win over the visiting Mead #1 Panthers. Jordan Roblin pitched a complete game 4 hit shutout and Dallas Calvin hit the first pitch he saw in the bottom of the first over the right center field wall to give the Diamondbacks a 2-0 lead that proved to be all they needed. Tanner Rotschy went 4 for 4 at the plate including a double and scored 4 times. The defense helped Roblin's cause by making several highlight reel plays to preserve the shutout. Game 2 is scheduled for Thursday night in Spokane.
