Tremper season comes to an end!
Sam Mahar was at his best Friday afternoon, giving up only one earned run over six innings, but unfortunately it was not enough as the Trojan bats went silent. Mahar was the tough-luck loser as Tremper fell to Bradford by a score of 3-0, ending the season for the Trojans. Bradford will now face Racine Horlick on Tuesday afternoon.

Trojans take care of business in first round of playoffs!
Sam Mahar usually does damage to his opponents with his arm, but Tuesday it was his bat that did all of the destruction in the Trojan's 16-3 victory. Mahar went 3-4 with three runs scored and 2 RBI while Shawn Miller, Mike Short and Nick Paura each added a pair of hits as well in Tremper's 14-hit attack. Alex Newberry went four innings giving up one earned run to earn the win. Tremper now plays Bradford on Friday with the winner advancing to the sectional games.

Mahar and Trojans close out conference play on a high note!
Sam Mahar was in complete control as he struck out ten batters in six innings, walking none and giving up only three singles as Tremper defeated Racine Case by a score of 8-0. Ricky Steinke led the offense going 3-3 with two runs scored. Sam Mahar and Kyle Peterson each added a pair of hits while Derek Binninger scored twice as well. The Trojans finished SEC play with a record of 10-5 which tied for second place with Bradford. Tremper will now host Racine Park on Tuesday at 4:30 in the first round of Regionals.

Newberry leads Trojans over Wisconsin Lutheran!
Alex Newberry gave up only three hits and struck out eight over five innings to lead Tremper over the Vikings of Wisconsin Lutheran by a score of 6-2. Cody Miller delivered a two-run single in the first inning and then pitched the final two innings of the game for his second save of the season. Shawn Miller and Derek Binninger both added doubles while Sam Mahar and Binninger added an RBI each as well. Tremper plays their final regular season and conference game tomorrow vs Racine Case at Simmons Field. Game time is 4:00.

Trojan bats go silent in Oconomowoc
Saturday was uncharacteristic for the Tremper bats. The usually reliable hitting managed only two hits against Oconomowoc as the Trojans fell 5-3 in the non-conference contest. Mike Short gave Tremper a 3-2 lead in the fifth inning with a three-run blast over the leftfield fence, but the Coons answered with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fifth and a two-run homerun in the sixth to cap the scoring. The Trojans next game is at home Tuesday against the Case Eagles .

Trojans lose season series to Red Devils!
The Trojans got behind early in their cross-town matchup with Bradford and could never get within striking distance. The Tremper bats were able to collect eleven hits, two each by Cody Miller and Jimmy Jones, but they left ten runners on base. Sam Mahar took the loss for the Trojans. Tremper travels to Oconomowoc on Saturday for a non-conference game at 11:00 am.

Tremper continues domination at Miller Park!
The Trojans are starting to feel at home when playing at Miller Park in Milwaukee. Alex Newberry scattered four hits over five innings in leading Tremper over Racine Horlick by a score of 14-2. It is the sixth straight win at the home of the Brewers for Tremper in the six seasons they have played there. Shawn Miller led the offense, going 2-3 with a triple, three runs scored, and four RBI. Nick Paura added a pair of hits and Cody Colbert had a bases-loaded triple to deep right field. Cody Miller also added a long triple for the Trojans.

Trojans hit the power switch!
Westosha Central took an early lead in Monday's contest, but the Tremper bats erupted for nine extra base hits, leading the Trojans to a 16-6 win in six innings. Sam Mahar, Shawn Miller, Ryan Neu and Derek Binninger all banged long balls over the left-centerfield wall while Mahar, Miller, Cody Miller, Nick Paura and Mike Short added doubles. Mahar drove in five runs and scored three times for Tremper. Cody Miller added three hits. Ryan Neu picked up the win in relief, going just under four innings while giving up just one run. The Trojans now head to Miller Park on Wednesday at 5:00 to face Racine Horlick.

Trojans fall in non-conference game.
The Tremper bench got a chance to get some quality playing time Saturday afternoon. Kyle Bakkila banged out three hits but it wasn't enough as the Trojans fell to Grant High School from Illinois by a score of 10-3. Kyle Peterson had a hit and two RBI to also help the offense. Kyle Dahl pitched four solid innings in relief, giving up just one earned run. Tremper plays another non-conference game on Monday against Westosha Central.

Miller and Miller lead Trojans over the Panthers in Racine!
Cody Miller used his arm and his bat to help Tremper defeat Racine Park by a score of 15-6. Cody came in relief to start the fourth inning and held the Panthers to just one run over four innings. He also added a double and a triple with his bat and scored three runs. Shawn Miller and Sam Mahar each had a pair of hits and three RBI each for Tremper. Ricky Steinke had two hits as well. The Trojans now play non-conference games on Saturday and Monday.

Tremper takes care of Burlington!
Sam Mahar was sharp, throwing a four-hit shutout as Tremper defeated the Demons by a score of 8-0. Mahar walked two and struck out six. Shawn Miller led the offense going 2-3 with a double and a triple. Derek Binninger had four RBI while Cody Colbert and Kyle Bakkila each added a triple. The Trojans travel to Horlick Field to play the Park Panthers tomorrow at 2:30 pm.

Tremper falls short to Burlington!
The Tremper bats just couldn't wake up against Mark Zimmerman and the Burlington Demons. The Trojans managed only three hits off the Burlington righty as they fell by a score of 3-2. Alex Newberry took the tough loss once again, giving up only two earned runs and striking five Demon batters in six innings. The two teams meet again on Thursday at Simmons Field at 4:30 pm.

Mahar leads Tremper over Bradford!
Sam Mahar was in control on the mound, striking out ten Red Devil batters, leading Tremper to a 4-1 win over Bradford. Mahar went the distance, giving up only one unearned run and walking three. Cody Colbert supplied the offense, belting a 2-run homerun to right-centerfield and scoring two runs. Shawn Miller added a pair of singles for the Trojans. Tremper hosts Westosha Central on Saturday at 11:00 for a non-conference doubleheader.

Not much went right for Tremper in their cross-town contest with Bradford. In fact, it didn't seem like the real Tremper team was out there. The usually sure-handed Trojans committed ten errors that led to fourteen unearned runs. Alex Newberry pitched well but took the tough loss. Shawn Miller and Derek Binninger led the offense with two hits apiece. The two teams battle again on Thursday at Bradford.

Trojans hang on against the Eagles!
The bottom half of the Tremper lineup came up big against Racine Case, leading the Trojans to a 10-7 win at Simmons Field. The six through nine hitters of Ryan Neu, Ricky Steinke, Nick Paura, and Cody Miller combined to score eight of Tremper's ten runs. Paura, Cody Miller and Shawn Miller each had two hits apiece while Steinke scored three times. Shane Rose improved to 3-0 with the win, scattering nine hits over 6 2/3 innings. Cody Miller recorded Tremper's first save of the season by striking out the Case leadoff man with the bases loaded to end the game. The Trojans host the cross-town rival Bradford Red Devils tomorrow at Simmons Field..

Mahar and Colbert lead Trojans past Burlington!
Sam Mahar gave up only two earned runs over five innings to lead Tremper over Burlington by a score of 8-4. Cody Colbert went 3-4 with two runs scored and Ricky Steinke had a single and scored three times to lead the offense. Shawn Miller and Mahar each added two hits apiece. Tremper plays again on Monday as a makeup of Thursday's rainout against Racine Case.

Trojans bounce back against Racine Case!
Alex Newberry was sharp on the mound as he pitched a complete-game shutout against the Case Eagles, allowing only a third inning single to centerfield. The bats were there behind him as Ryan Neu went 3-4 and Mike Short added a pair of singles and scored three runs. Tremper was also helped by ten free passes issued by the Eagle pitching staff. The two teams square off again tomorrow at Simmons Field.

Rebels complete sweep of Trojans!
Tremper battled back from a 6-2 deficit to put the tying run on second base in the 7th inning but couldn't quite finish the job as they lost to Racine Horlick by a score of 7-6. Shawn Miller had a double and a single to lead the Trojans offensively. Alex Newberry dropped to 1-1 with the loss. Tremper hosts Grant High School (IL) on Saturday morning at 11:00 am at Simmons Field.

Tremper pounded in first game of DH!
The Tremper bats tried to keep up with the fourteen hits the Rebels of Racine Horlick put on the board by smacking thirteen of their own, but the Rebels won the battle of runs in a 13-5 loss for the Trojans. Shawn Miller had two hits including a two-run bomb to left field while Cody Colbert, Derek Binninger, Aaron Wermeling, and Ryan Neu all also added a pair of hits apiece. Sam Mahar took his first loss of the season, dropping his record to 2-1.

Mahar "Magical" in Orlando!
Sam Mahar shined in his appearance on the mound for Tremper in game #3 of the Florida trip. Mahar shook off 2 days of the flu to scatter five hits in 6 2/3 innings as the Trojans defeated Boardman High School of Ohio by a score of 8-4. Mahar gave up no earned runs. Ricky Steinke had two hits and scored twice to lead the Tremper offense. Mahar and Cody Miller also scored twice while Mike Short and Ryan Neu added two singles apiece.

Tremper on short side of 3-2 ballgame!
Jake Boresch made a nice start for Tremper giving up only two earned runs in four innings but the Trojans fell to St. Francis DeSales of Ohio by a score of 3-2. Kyle Dahl pitched three scoreless innings of relief for Tremper. The offense was led by Shawn Miller's double and Derek Binninger's RBI single. The Trojans return home tomorrow.

Newberry sharp on mound for Trojans!
Alex Newberry scattered three hits, walked none, and threw a complete game shutout to lead the Trojans to a 10-0 win over Westerville South High School from Ohio. Ryan Neu led the offense, blasting a 3-run homerun in the 3rd inning. Cody Colbert had two hits, including a triple to also lead the Tremper attack.

Tremper wins second game in Florida!
The Tremper bats remained hot as they scored 15 runs on ten hits to defeat West Geauga High School from Ohio. Ryan Neu banged his second homerun of the day over the left field wall and Derek Binninger had three hits including a pair of doubles to lead the Trojan offense. Shawn Miller and Aaron Wermeling also had two hits apiece for Tremper. Shane Rose got the win, giving up three earned runs over five innings. Tremper plays another doubleheader tomorrow morning in Orlando.

Rose leads Tremper in Game One Win vs. Beloit Memorial!
Shane Rose was in command the entire way as he threw a 2-hit shutout to lead Tremper over Beloit Memorial by a score of 14-0 in five innings. Rose did not walk a batter and struck out three. Shawn Miller led the offense going 2-3 with four runs scored while eight other Trojans each added a hit apiece. Derek Binninger drove in four runs as well to help the offense.

Tremper Takes Game 2 for Sweep of Beloit Memorial!
The Tremper bats stayed red-hot as the Trojans banged out 16 hits in defeating the Purple Knights 17-10. Shawn Miller was 3-5 and scored three runs while Cody Colbert, Derek Binninger, Ryan Neu, Cody Miller, Nick Paura, and Kyle Dahl each added two hits apiece. Neu provided the big blow with a bases-loaded triple in the 4th inning. Jake Boresch and Sam Mahar finished the game with three hitless innings of relief pitching for Tremper. The Trojans now head to Florida on Monday to play four games in five days.

Tremper rallies late for victory!
It looked like Tremper was going to continue where they left off from on Tuesday, scoring five runs in the 1st inning, but the Park Panthers slowly battled back to tie the game 5-5 in the sixth inning. The Trojans struck right back scoring two runs in the top of the 7th inning thanks to RBI singles by Derek Binninger and Ricky Steinke. Binninger and Mike Short each had two hits for Tremper and Cody Miller picked up the win in relief. Miller gave up only one run in 3 1/3, striking out four and walking none. The Trojans play Beloit Memorial in a doubleheader on Saturday.

Tremper bats heat up in opener!
Even though the wind and temperature were cold, the Tremper bats were hot as the Trojans beat Racine Park 12-2 in 5 innings banging out six doubles and a triple. Shawn Miller led the way going 3-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and three runs scored. Aaron Wermeling and Ricky Steinke each added two hits for the Tremper attack. Sam Mahar's fastball was blazing also as he held Park to just one hit over 4 innings with seven strikeouts to earn the win. Ryan Neu ended the game with a bases-loaded single in the bottom of the 5th inning. The same two teams battle again on Thursday in Racine.
