Tremper season comes to an end!!
Sam Mahar had ten strikeouts, but the Trojans couldn't generate any offense in a 1-0 loss to Union Grove. Mahar gave up the earned run on four hits and four walks in taking the tough loss. Zak Bernhardt had two hits, including a double for Tremper.

Tremper advances to Sectional!
Sam Mahar had nine strikeouts in his three innings of work, leading the Trojans to a 10-2 win over Burlington and a trip to a Tuesday Sectional game in Burlington! Mahar, Anthony Olson and Logan Hartnell combined to give up only two runs on four hits, with sixteen strikeouts and two walks. Brandon Schuebel, Ryan Kehl and Zach Wade led the offense as they each had two RBI on a pair of hits. Tyler Kohler scored three times. Tremper now plays Union Grove at 1:00 pm Tuesday in Burlington.

Tremper defeats Hartford 12-2!
Tyler Kohler had a great day at the plate, and Kyle Kutzler was awesome on the mound as the Trojans defeated Hartford in six innings by a score of 12-2. Kohler went 4-4 with two doubles and three runs scored. Kutzler gave up two runs, one earned, on six hits in earning his second win. The sophomore walked two and struck out six. Sam Mahar went 3-4 with three RBI and two runs scored while Brandon Schuebel had two hits and drove in three. Mitch Thomas also had a pair of hits including a game-ending two-run single in the bottom of the sixth inning. Tremper next host Burlington on Friday at 4:30 in the Regional final.

Tremper swept by Stevens Point!
Tremper had an early 4-2 lead but couldn't hold it as Stevens Point scored five runs in the fifth inning leading to a 10-5 loss for the Trojans. Brandon Schuebel and Andrew Korecz had a pair of hits each for the offense. Logan Hartnell suffered the loss giving up seven runs (five earned) on seven hits, four walks and five strikeouts. Tremper hosts Hartford at Simmons Field Wednesday at 4:30.

Trojans suffer tough loss in 9 innings!
Sam Mahar was dominant on the mound as he went nine innings, giving up only four hits and three walk, but two unearned in the ninth led to a 3-1 loss to Stevens Point in the first game of a doubleheader. Mahar gave up three runs, one earned, and recorded fourteen strikeouts in the loss. Brandon Schuebel had a pair of doubles and Tyler Kohler added two hits for the offense.

Tremper blanks Racine Park 11-0!
The pitching was near perfect and the bats were alive as it all added up to an 11-0 six-inning win for the Trojans over the Panthers from Racine Park. Sam Mahar went four innings, giving up two hits, walking none and striking out eight as he improved his record to 5-1. Logan Hartnell retired all six batters he faced, striking out three. Zak Bernhardt led the offense going 3-3 with three runs scored. Tyler Kohler went 2-4 including a two-run homerun and three RBI. Jimmy Jones and Andrew Korecz each added a pair of hits for the cause. Tremper next plays a doubleheader on Saturday at Simmons Field against Stevens Point.

Win streak halted at 4!
The first inning spelled doom for the Trojans as Wisconsin Lutheran sent twelve batters to the plate, banged out seven hits and scored eight runs as Tremper eventually fell by a score of 10-5. Jimmy Jones went 2-4 with a two-run double and scored twice while Zak Bernhardt also had a double and two hits, but it wasn't enough. Anthony Olson took the loss for Tremper who next play on Tuesday at Racine Park.

Trojans win fourth straight!
Tremper defeated Oconomowoc 6-2 on the road for their fourth straight win behind the pitching of Sam Mahar and the bat of Jake Hornik. Mahar went the distance, giving up two runs (one earned) on three hits and two walks. Mahar struck out twelve batters in moving his record to 4-1. Hornik led the offense with a sacrifice fly in the third inning, a solo homerun in the fifth, and a two-run single in the sixth. Zak Bernhardt also had a pair of hits for the Trojans. Tremper next plays in Milwaukee on Friday against Wisconsin Lutheran.

Tremper over Racine Case 15-4!
The offense was on a roll again this afternoon as the Trojans banged out fourteen hits in six innings to defeat Racine Case 15-4. Sam Mahar scored four times and added a double and a triple to lead the offense. Jimmy Jones had four RBI on two hits, including a double, while Zak Bernhardt, Jake Hornik, and Mitch Thomas all added a pair of hits as well. Kyle Kutzler made his first varsity start a memorable one, scattering five hits and a walk to earn the win. Kutzler gave up four runs, three earned, and tossed eight strikeouts. The Trojans travel to Oconomowoc tomorrow for a 5:00 tilt.

Tremper smacks 20 hits in win over Racine Park!
The Tremper bats woke up in a big way as they pounded out 20 hits and scored in every inning in defeating Racine Park by a score of 16-7. Tyler Kohler led the way, going 5-5 with a triple, two RBI, and two runs scored. Sam Mahar went 3-5 with three RBI, Jake Hornik was 2-4 and scored three runs, and Zach Wade went 2-3 with two RBI and scored three times to lead the offense! Logan Hartnell only allowed four hits, but he issued six walks in giving up seven runs, four earned, all in the Park fifth inning. Brian Dickow came on in relief and did not allow a hit in 2 and 2/3 inning to earn the save! The Trojans play again tomorrow at Racine Case at 4:30.

Tremper drops Racine Horlick 7-6!
Brian Dickow made his first varsity appearance a memorable one, pitching four and two-thirds innings of relief and earning the victory. Dickow gave up three runs, one earned, on three hits while walking just one and striking out four. Tyler Kohler went 2-3 with a pair of doubles while Zach Wade added two hits as well. Jake Hornik scored twice for the Trojans. It was the fifth straight one-run game for Tremper. The Trojans have four games next week, beginning with Racine Park on Monday and Racine Case on Tuesday. Both games are on the road.

Tremper drops third game by 1 run!
One bad inning spelled doom for Sam Mahar and the Trojans as they fell 6-5 to Bradford at Simmons Field. Mahar was touched for five hits and two walks in a 5-run fourth inning which put Tremper behind 5-1. The Trojans had taken a 1-0 lead in the second inning on a solo homerun by Ryan Kehl. The offense made a comeback, scoring two runs in the fifth on a Jake Hornik RBI single and a sac fly by Tyler Kohler to pull with 6-3. Two more runs in the sixth made the score 6-5, but there was no late inning heroics this time. Mitch Thomas had two hits while every other batter added one hit apiece in the ten hit attack. The Trojans play again tomorrow at 2:30 against Racine Horlick at Simmons Field.

Another 1-run loss for the Trojans!
Logan Hartnell was outstanding on the mound Tuesday as he scattered seven hits with a walk and three strikeouts. Hartnell only surrendered two runs to Bradford, but the Tremper offense was asleep as the Demons prevailed by a score of 2-1. Aaron Buban scored on a sacrifice fly to center by Jimmy Jones, but that was all for the offense as the Trojans finished with just three hits. Hartnell dropped to 4-1 with the tough loss. The same two teams play again on Thursday at Simmons Field.

Dramatic win for Trojans at Miller Park!
Tremper was down early to the Burlington Demons by a score of 4-1, but they battled back to tie the game at 5-5 in the bottom of the seventh and won the game in the bottom of the eighth on a RBI walk-off double by Mitch Thomas! Tyler Kohler started things off for Tremper with a RBI double to the wall in leftfield in the bottom of the first. Burlington then plated four runs in the second on their only hit off starter Sam Mahar, along with three walks, two hit batters and an error. The Trojans never gave up however. They tied the score in the bottom of the seventh on a RBI double by Jake Hornik before Thomas' heroics in the eighth. Logan Hartnell pitched 2 1/3 innings of scoreless relief to earn the victory and push his record to 4-0. Kohler led the offense, going 3-3 with a double and two RBI. Hornik was 3-4 with a pair of doubles and two RBI, while Thomas also scorched two doubles and drove in two runs. Brandon Schuebel scored three times for Tremper. The Trojans next play at Bradford on Tuesday.

Trojans drop first conference game!
Tremper battled into extra innings against Bradford but fell short with a 3-2 loss in eight innings. Anthony Olson battled on the mound, giving up only one earned run but it wasn't enough as Bradford's bases-loaded single won the game in the bottom of the eighth. Olson gave up thirteen hits, walked three and struck out nine in the loss. The Tremper offense was quiet and managed only five hits. Jimmy Jones went 2-3 with a run scored and a RBI. Jake Hornik added a RBI single in the third inning. The two teams match up again twice next week. Tremper next plays this Thursday at Miller Park versus Burlington.

Mahar throws no-hitter!
Sam Mahar threw the first Tremper no-hitter since Nice Rice's gem against Burlington in 2007, leading the Trojans to a 5-0 win over the Badgers of Lake Geneva. Mahar was absolutely dominant, striking out nineteen batters over the seven innings. Only two balls were put into play as he moved his record to 3-0. Mahar also hurt the Badgers at the plate as well, belting a 2-out bases loaded double in the 4th inning to make the score 4-0 and give the Trojans some breathing room! Brandon Schuebel added a RBI single in the 4th inning. Tremper plays this Tuesday at Bradford.

Tremper wins first of DH vs Badger!
The Tremper bats took over the first game of the doubleheader at Lake Geneva Badger as the Trojans prevailed 12-6. Tyler Kohler blasted a 4th inning grand slam over the leftfield wall to break the game open. Kohler added a RBI double in the 6th inning as well. Mitch Thomas went 3-4 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI while Brandon Schuebel reached base all four times with a 2-run single and three walks. Logan Hartnell only gave up one hit over his four innings, but struggled with command as he walked eight batters. Hartnell moves to 3-0 with the win.

Tremper suffers first defeat!
The Trojans outhit Waterford 6-5 but came up short in the run column. Tremper suffered their first loss of the season 4-0 to the Wolverines. Tyler Kohler went 2-3 with two doubles and Jimmy Jones added a double and a single, but the Trojans couldn't capitalize on opportunities as they left ten runners on base including the bases loaded in both the 5th and 6th innings. Anthony Olson gave up the four runs on five hits, including three walks and six strikeouts and suffered the loss. Tremper plays again tomorrow at Lake Geneva Badger with a doubleheader starting at 4:30.

Logan Hartnell was on top of his game as he scattered two hits over six innings in earning a complete game shutout over Racine Park by a score of 10-0. Hartnell walked none and struck out eleven batters. Jake Hornik led the offense with a pair of doubles, two runs scored and two RBI. Jimmy Jones, Brandon Schuebel, and Andrew Korecz all had a pair of hits also for the Trojans. Tyler Kohler drove in three runs and Aaron Buban ended the game in the bottom of the sixth with an RBI single to right-centerfield. Tremper plays a doubleheader tomorrow at 1:00 against Appleton East.

Trojans remain undefeated!
Tremper fell behind 4-1 early but fought their way back to claim an 8-5 victory over the visiting Case Eagles. Anthony Olson came on in relief in the second inning and gave up only one unearned on one hit, one walk, and eleven strikeouts to earn the victory. Jake Hornik, Jimmy Jones, Andrew Korecz and Zach Wade each had two hits apiece while Hornik and Ryan Kehl each scored twice for the Trojans. Tremper travels to Kimberly on Saturday for an afternoon doubleheader.

Jimmy Jones went 2-3 with a homerun and three RBI while Logan Hartnell threw a six inning shutout to lead the Trojans over the Case Eagles by a score of 10-0. Mitch Thomas had two hits including a RBI double while Zak Bernhardt scored three times to lead the offense. Hartnell took care of the rest giving up three hits over the six innings. He walked two and struck out eight and did not allow a runner to reach third base on the day. The two teams play again on Thursday at Simmons Field in Kenosha.

Mahar leads Trojans over Central!
Sam Mahar shook off a shaky start and finished with a fourteen strikeout performance to lead Tremper to a 6-0 win over Westosha Central. Mahar (2-0) walked three, all in the first inning, and gave up only three hits for a complete game shutout. Ryan Kehl and Tyler Kohler led the Trojan offense. Kehl went 2-3 and drove in three runs while Kohler also went 2-3 including a leadoff double in the fourth inning to start the scoring for Tremper. Kehl followed Kohler's double with a RBI single to left and then scored two outs later on Zach Wade's bloop single to center. Mahar took over from there as no runner reached third base after the first inning. Tremper travels to Racine Case Tuesday for a conference game against the Eagles.

Trojans defeat Rebels a second time!
Tyler Kohler got the Tremper offense off on the right foot with a 2-out, 2-run homerun over the leftfield fence, giving starting pitcher Anthony Olson a 3-0 first inning lead to work with. And Olson did just that as he gave up one run on three hits over six innings for the victory. He did not walk a batter and struck out 11 Horlick batters in the process. Kohler added a leadoff double in the fourth and Mitch Thomas drilled a 2-run double in the sixth. Brandon Schuebel also drove in two runs for Tremper. The Trojans play again Monday at Westosha Central.

Tremper opens with solid win!
Sam Mahar started things off right by striking out seven of the first eight batters he faced as the Trojans defeated the Racine Horlick Rebels by an 11-1 score in six innings. Mahar gave up only two hits and one walk in five innings and ended the game with ten strikeouts. The Tremper bats came out strong also as Mitch Thomas, Jimmy Jones, Brandon Schuebel, Aaron Buban and Marty Pitts all had two-hit games. Jones had two doubles while Thomas, Schuebel and Pitts also smacked two-baggers. Buban added a RBI triple in the sixth to cap an inning where the Trojans rattled off five straight hits. The two teams play again Thursday at Simmons Field in Kenosha.
