Having spent their first two years in the 4A ranks, Coach Payne has the Spartans poised to make some noise their first year in 5A. Considering they hit the ground running and competed with the best their 4A district had to offer, you can expect no less in 2009. The Golden arms of Donnie Hart and Jake Pinchback will get the Spartans started and possibly carry them to the play-offs. "We have a very large senior class that we opened the school with as freshmen and they hope to provide the leadership, and maturity that we need to have a successful season."
